On December 26, 2015, the K-Mart in Albertville, AL had this Craftsman, made in Taiwan set:

After getting hyped up by this thread, I was disappointed to see it was not made in the USA.

The 25" bar was also made in Taiwan. It was the red handle like above. They had no other sizes with the red handle.

I have the 3 pc craftsman red handle set with out the striking caps.

I'm constantly borrowing bigger prybars from people at work. They are inadequate for working on cars.

The basic Craftsman red handled pry bar set has been good to me for 15 years of use, half of that in a professional environment. When they're on sale for 20 bucks it's a no brainer. Never had any issues with the handles cracking or breaking ever from being struck.

Plaine version is the same as craftsman so why care about the brand label? Fwiw i did find the striking version for less than the cman standard on Black Friday

Like a few others here and since you are in Ohio, I would recommend checking Ollie's. I have a complete set of Richards pry bars that I picked up for pennies on the dollar. They are high quality tools available in chrome or black oxide finish.

Ollie's must of bought 10 semi truck loads of these tools a few years ago as they still seem to be able to keep them on the shelves.

Ollie's is a "surplus" business that buys up manufactures or distributor's inventories for resale. "Once they are gone, there gone"
