prybars shouldnt have handles on them....

that being said

i dont own a prybar with a handle, my main bars are OTC, ladyslipper bars are mac & cm, at the house i have a couple hf bars and a couple cm ladyfoot bars.

to me, the hf bars flex way too much.

I have the Matco set with the metal striking caps and have been holding up.Look like rebranded Mayhews.Metal part is made in USA and the handles are made in Taiwan.

i have the hf 4pc pry bar set and they havent bent on me and i have got pretty western with them

I have a set of the black harbor freight ones, They are really great, I can really pull on the things and was even standing on the big on at some points. The smallest one is actually really handy too. And also if your worried about ruining the handles on your non striking cap pry bars chust use one of the orange dead blows from harbor freight. I have a 3 lb!!

Last time I was in Harbor Freight, I noticed the COO of the item number 1654 pry bars had changed from Taiwan to India. Maybe they're still decent, I don't know, but they are no longer the same pry bars that are normally recommended.

A COO of India is generally considered worse than China right? I don't think I have really used any Indian made tools.

I have a set of Craftsman Pros, Matco (made by Mayhew) and Snap-on's. They are all good bars but when I have to really reef back on a track or a stuck pin, the Snap-on's are the ones I go for. The heavy duty, two handed grip ones will take a LOT of abuse working on heavy equipment. That is one place you don't want a bar to break as you might have a fall in your future (or worse) when it happens
