PTAC placement

GJ,
I am building a 24' deep x 30' wide garage. I will have my truck on one side against the wall. The other bay and extra space for saw, drill press, etc will be on the other side. Where is the best place to put my PTAC unit for maximum efficiency?

Definitely closer to the side where you work, but not in such a way that it ruins your manly coif

Middle of the longer wall in the middle for efficiency & even distribution.
so I was told and recommended by many I asked. so mine is along the long wall. it works great, and even distributes cool air and heat. i have been very happy in my 20 x 30

I have a AZ65xxxx 15KBTU GE Zoneline Heatpump model, I put it up high about 10 inches frpm the ceiling. It works perfect in my 650 ft garage. I wired it with a class 2 thermostat (standard Heat Pump FocusPro) works perfect. Make sure you can get the filters out to clean or you will have slip off the cover. Being up high, it stays cleaner and I use the low fan speed. It heats my insulated garage perfectly and it is so quiet.
