Saw a Pic you posted on another thread. Didn't want to take over the thread and have it in the wrong place. So here goes.

Looking at the pic it looks like you have lights attached to the inside of your Garage door! If this is true... can you provide more pics and explain... if not what am I looking at.

Post pic here in just a sec.

Is there already a thread on this somewhere that I missed?

Yeah, they're attached to two arms that extend from the wall so that there's still space for the door to open and close.

Odd, but true -- I've got video:

I suppose it would be possible to connect them with some kind of buttress support to the door itself, but they'd be useless when the door is open that way.

Jack. I am sure this fact is buried somewhere in the build thread but how high are your ceilings? I would suspect those lights would too low unless you had a 9 ft or 10ft ceiling

Wow! Sometimes the response time on this board is astounding!

Thanks! (more to read and digest)

It's a flat roof with a grade to it, so the ceiling has a high corner and a low corner. 8'8" low to 9'4" high. The lamps leave 74" of clearance. I thought about hinging the arms, but my Jeep has no issue with clearance on them -- and they can be removed in a couple of minutes if I needed to put something big in there.
