When I do the grading and soil/grass around the barn, should I go all the way up to the metal or stay a certain distance away from it down the skirt board? Also I have the waiscoting with the 2 colors and it has that "z" channel and when it rains I can see water sitting on it isn't this going to cause the top siding to start rusting from the edge sitting in the water all the time?
Thanks
Check out BB767's garage and see what he did with his pole barn. Thomas is a very, very, particular person, and can probably make someone with OCD look like a slob

WHen he does things, he does them right so they will last, and so one solution does not create another problem. Here is his thread
http://garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=51567 To find out what to do with the pole barn, either ask him or Chris and they can point you to the pics, or start at the bottom last page and work backwards. The reason I say to start at the last page and work backwards if you want a quick answer.....if you start at page #1 opening thread, you will be sucked into another world for a week. You will have to call into work and take a weeks vacation. If you have a laptop, just have the wife bring your meals into the bathroom so you can multi task. You will emerge a week later with a full beard, just shaking your head at the amount of amazement that you will see in that time. The kids will have grown older, the wife may look different, and she will look differently at you for sure. Just take this as fair warning
