I’m planning on using a seat like the one in the first picture by mounting it to a board or steel frame. Note the mounting holes in the second picture.

I want the seat to be easily removed and re-installed.

My first thought was to simply put studs in the mounting holes and use wing nuts on the underside of the frame. But, being a seat, that means standing upside down or crawling underneath to get the nuts aligned and tightened.

Any ideas for nuts that go on and come off quick and easy. Yet hold securely.

I’m open to other ideas too.

I like the stud and wing nut idea but I'd want to find studs where the 1/8-1/4" at the end has no threads. This way the nut slips on and is automatically centered and aligned w/ the threads. I didn't find any at McMaster so you may need to get standard studs and have the thread length reduced. It will be worth it. Also if you can find a nut like this in the correct thread it will be nice to skip a washer.

A strap or belt?
Attached some guides (sort of like metal loops) somewhere.
Velcro?? (that is a weak attempt at a joke)
