Why does QuickJack have so many different versions of the power unit?
Good question. It may be that they use multiple sources/suppliers for them or have outgrown original suppliers.
I'm guessing some of it is trying to optimize the design for various reasons like weight and/or costs.
I've seen more than half a dozen different versions of the 110v power unit.
The original had a U-shaped carrier, with the handle facing the same direction as motor/reservoir, parallel to the sides of the carrier.
The later ones removed one side to have an L shaped carrier with the handle perpendicular to the wall of the carrier which is rotated 90 degrees vs the original design.
The latest ones seem to have no carrier with a handle on the pump and feet under the pump and the motor.
But then there are variations within versions like plastic vs metal reservoirs, pumps, control box (on top of the motor), and pendant control (the box with the buttons).
And there are at least two variations of the carrierless power units with different handles, motors, pumps and reservoirs. One has 3 feet and one as 4 feet.
So you never really know what you are going to get.
