I'm sure plenty have done this but just in case anyone wondered what it would look like...

I had picked up an older matco box

Cleaned up excellent except for chipped paint along the top edges, and couple dings in the regtangular bumper protrusions.

Was at advance auto and saw they had 15 foot rolls of vinyl door trim so i thought perfect, no need to go hunting online (just tip, cut your corners on 45's for cleaner install, i didn't bother myself). Trimmed the top, side shelf, and side box front in it.

For the dings in the bumpers, i got some 1" flat steel and flat blacked them. Matched the presumably powder coated or anodized handles really well.

lol at the stool, i was in HF one day picking up odds and ends and won a door 20% that had to be used that day, there wasn't anything there i needed big bucks (figures...the one time i win something it's at HF....) ..the only thing on my list i was pondering was a stool so what the heck as it was onsale plus a few bucks off with the 20...but darn there wasn't anything i needed atm more expensive at the time
