Quickjack and Maxjax with Ram 2500 Long Bed Cummins?

I have a 2016 Ford Explorer Limited 2WD, which is a pretty good vehicle except when it has problems. Which is often, because it was engineered by crackheads.

I have a motor oil drip which is very slow, and based on the best look I could get with an endoscope, I think it's the oil pressure sensor sender, which tends to unscrew itself due to crackhead engineering. Getting to this thing means a lift or using jackstands. I don't know how to jack the whole front end to put it on stands.

I have been considering getting a lift for a long time, but I am cheap. I'm starting to think my desire to avoid aggravation may overcome my cheapness, and I may go ahead and buy something.

I would want something that will pick up the Ford as well as a 2007 Ram 2500 with a 5.9 Cummins and the long bed.

Has anyone here actually tried putting this particular truck on a Quickjack or Maxjax? I was thinking these lifts might be okay. I don't want something that will be permanently screwed to the floor. I kind of like the Maxjax because you can sit while working. Sitting is one of my favorite things.

Also, is there any way to get a tractor or a diesel zero-turn on either of these lifts? I have a Kubota L3710 and a Kubota ZD326, and I am considering getting a John Deere 4720.

They are too small for a diesel pickup especially if it’s a quad cab.

Maybe a 9000lbs 4 post lift? They are not bolted to the floor and are not much different than a maxjax in price.

There is no reason you can’t put any regular lift at half height to sit on a stool and work. They have multiple positions they lock at

Thanks for the reply. When I wrote about the height, I was contrasting the Maxjax with the Quickjack, which requires a creeper.

You'd be right at the M7K's lift capacity. If I had to lift a truck on a Maxjax, I'd have tripod jack stands at 4 points. I have put plenty of cars and SUVs on my Maxjax, no issues whatsoever.

As for tractors, I have put my BX2380 on the Maxjax several times. I have to take the MMM off to expose frame lift points, and then I chain it down since there isn't much span between those points. Is it safe? Define safe. Anything lifted is stored energy. Every lift has risks. As long as you are cognizant of any CoG changes from adding/removing parts (such as the time I used the Maxjax to lift a car off a K-member with engine and transmission still on it...), you should be fine.
