I didn't have a pulley for the motor. I only got the Quincy (with pulley), nothing else. The rest of the running gear is purchased. I tuned the pulley size, 6.5" dia., so the pump ran at 740 rpm.

I haven't run the compressor under load yet. I'll try to measure the amps once I can load it. Still working on plumbing.

Finally, under load and making air.

Walta, I have not checked the FLA at cut-off. I'm still tweaking the pressure switch settings and unloaders. Peak amps at start-up are somewhere near 115. Continuous run amps are 12. Very glad I ran 6 gauge lead-in wiring.

Searching for a system leak between the tank and compressor. Dropping from 90 psi to 45 psi over 48 hours.

I've installed a RapidAir distribution system inside the shop but need one more tee fitting to close it up. I'll valve off the ancillary drops until I can install a couple of hose reels.

325 compressor is much quieter than the old TSC compressor.

It's been a long and expensive (IMHO) slug to get to this point.

Been chasing leaks.

Walta, the amp pull at cut-out (currently ~100 psi) is ~16 amps.

I've installed a 100' loop of RapidAir with 3 drops inside the s'hanger. I have a drop on the outside of the building where the compressor is for a future hose reel. I used 3/4" copper outside.

Tank holding at 100 psi for the last 72 hours. Feeling good about that. Now have to address downstream piping. May have issue with the Klutch hose reel. We have been also been bumping the Rapidair dragging the linset for the mini-split install.

Just to clarify what everyone was saying -

All discharge valves act as check valves from service line (tank) pressure. The reason why Quincy doesnt need an in tank is because it uses the oil pressure to load up the pump. So itll start unloaded until it builds oil pressure. Its sorta a cheat but is common along with the Champion PL pump series.

Anyways pretty cool project. Now you know how pricey Quincy can be lol. Its like 1940s technology it should last a long time.
