After the sticker shock for a valve plate on my QT ($350) I found a roll of 1/2in wide 0.015" thick spring steel on MSC for $47 shipped. Fixed the valve on the cheep to get by. Later located all the parts for a lot less to do it properly. Including the HP piston, both ring sets, gaskets and the valve plate for $250ish shipped. Parts are still in the box waiting for round 2.
I am a stout guy, and I still need to remove the flywheel off the pump before I can lift it on my own. Tank is too tall, and I'm 5'10". Main reason it's still not done.
