Those that read how I got this pile of.....joy..... will know why I call it the "speed Franken-pressor".
So i couldn't sleep last night and the wife got tired of me tossing and turning. So to the shop I go! Once there I decided to start some damage assessment on a raw deal Quincy a got not too long ago. I over paid or didn't charge enough to haul it off, take your pick.

What a hack!
But, I'm slightly stubborn. So we will at least see if there are parts worth saving.
First, hose was removed. And then started on that ridiculous line feeding the tank (oh boy the tank! More on THAT gem later.)
Note: I guess I should pause and say that if you have ever rigged up stuff like this before I'm not specifically bashing you with my opinions. I'm just bitter and no one else near me will listen.....
Well, this is going well........
I know reducers can be handy but for Christ's sake!
Over 5 million chances and YOU'RE the one that made it??
This was actually, not as bad as I expected.
But I was still in need of good news.
So......OFF!!! With its head!
At least the bolts weren't seized.
Even if you are frustrated you can still be professional. Removing something like this just takes finesse.
Only use just enough force.....
And have some patience......
Even when failures happen it's important to remember....
Don't go overboard....
Or become impatient....
And never go full hulk.....
Because then you knock stuff over (like hammers) or could damage what you're working on.
And before you know, things will work out!
You will be a step ahead and have kept your cool!
Honestly it doesn't look it's age at all. Don't get me wrong there is plenty of work to be done, definitely! But it did have compression.
