I don't know what it is, but shipping to Canada has been super slow lately. I'm hoping they arrive this week and I that I like them.

Waiting for shipping to Canada can definitely tear at your patience. I've got a few pieces I'm waiting on as well. Looking forward to seeing the pics.

Re: Rick's Double Garage in Calgary, CAN

I was home sick today, so took the opportunity to mount the vintage-themed posters that finally arrived, along with an embossed metal sign I ordered online. Also, got my Audi wheels back up on the tire rack. Just need to get going on the sink project. I've been putting that one off.

Rick, as always the garage is amazing. I like the cleaner look, although I liked all the decals as well. The artwork is a great touch.

Looks great as always, your space is really an inspiration. Where did you order your embossed signs from? They were a nice touch!

Rick beautiful pics man!

I would kill for a 3-4ft. bump out like you have. Very nice use of that space!

As always, great work. I am still a bit perplexed by the absolute stellar organization, because there must be SOME hidden alcove that has all the other stuff one has in a garage like containers of nuts and bolts, mountains of shop rags, plumbing bits and parts you can't bring yourself to throw away "just in case" you may never need it!

Re: Rick's Double Garage in Calgary, CAN

I went back to your opening post/pic just for reference; WHAT AN AMAZING TRANSFORMATION! Very well done indeed.

Thanks Ompha. It's quite remarkable how far things have come since first joining GJ. I remember saying I was "done" a year or so ago. Oh, how naive I was.

Honestly, adding the 4' extension was the wisest decision I made when we signed off on our house plans. It doesn't sound like a lot of space, but it makes all the difference.

Muhahaha! You'll never find out!

Thought you might be interested in some of these pictures of Audi showrooms/service centres here in the UK:

Excuse the sizing I, you can click on the smaller ones to enlarge them.

And a gratuitous shot of the one hanging in my garage:

Re: Rick's Double Garage in Calgary, CAN

the service center is surreal!

I'll post up a pic of my local Kia dealership. Not quite the same...

Although, there is a styrofoam cup coffee station...

SAY WHAT!!! Is it a least a Tassimo? AUDI money is a whole other ballpark hehehe. KIA keeps you grounded :)

I miss the days when i was younger and had my MINI, I would book my tire change over appointment at my local BMW dealer and get a new 3 series for the day and i would just drive around all day lol..

Re: Rick's Double Garage in Calgary, CAN

I've been seeing some posts from my garage friends in warmer climates, so I thought I'd throw a 'pity party' and post up some recent pics showing what I'm dealing with up here in Calgary:

Only about another 1-2 months of this, and it will be Spring. Ugh.

Pity party is right, you need to stay strong my fellow garage brotha. We had that same thing as of the end of last week. Now spring is finally starting. You can hold on to the joy of those Chinooks that roll in during the middle of winter. And actually looking back at your pic, that snow level is nothing to be concerned with. At the starting of last week when spring started we got our last dump of snow and i was amazed with the fact that i could look across at a neighbor who i knew was shoveling although i couldn't see him or his shovel, just a mountain of snow with a cloud on top.

Traditionally, Calgary receives more snow in April than the rest of winter combined. The front of our house faces North, so I've had snow out front into June for the past two years! At least we average 330 days of sunlight.

Till June!!! I guess my selective memory has wiped out that part of my past. Best of luck Rick.
