Yeah, that guy is a putz. I contacted him a while back and suggested we work out some sort of deal, but he never responded. Once I get some time, I may have to be more assertive.

Could I ask a question about buffers? My big old orbital buffer is slower than working by hand so I'm going to get something a lot more current. Have been looking at at 6" Porter Cable 7424XP, a 6" Griots 10813STDCRD and a 3" Griots 10739STDCRD. The 3 inch looks like it would be very easy to use, but my vehicles are large, a long bed extended cab Ram pickup, a boat, and a car (to be determined soon) so I'm leaning toward one the 6" models. I have very little detailing experience and hope to up my game for the old stuff and especially want to protect the new one. What is your preference.

I have been looking for that magnetic decal for a while! Since you have such a remarkable eye for detail, Dubber, did you happen to see my reflection in the shot with the 4-rings?
Hi Bob, The 6" and 3" Griots Polishers is definitely the way to go. I just sold my set on Kijiji this week. I used those funds to purchase the 3" Flex to compliment the 3401 model I already have. Having both sizes will be very handy, trust me on that. I really got a lot of usage out of mine, but I am pretty much in love with both Flex models. For someone new to the world of polishing, the Griot's are absolutely perfect. Best of luck if you decide to move forward with your purchase.

Where did you pick up the Northland sealer in Calgary?
I will be welding in my garage from time to time and I foresee that being a better alternative to epoxy paint?

Holy **** those pictures are nice! The detail you can see in them is amazing. And the reflection in the Audi emblem was a very cool touch. I would say I'm surprised, but with these being of your garage Rick, not so much.
Tell your friend he did an amazing job with the pics. And of course you did an amazing job with the detail on your car AND your garage Rick.

Great video Rick. I really like the shot at 52 seconds, of the big wide mouth of the SQ5.. so nice! And I'm a headlight guy, so the design/look of the headlights are simple and clean..
I also really enjoyed the detail shots. I was surprised to see the un-even surface of the paint on your rolling, blue cabinets. Everything else is so smooth and detailed (not trying to be a critic, it's just the ONE thing that stands out as not like everything else in your garage. EVERYTHING else looks so spot on, it just makes those stand out).
You also are making me want to go out and buy more brushes.

I know what you mean regarding my two blue Craftsman cabinets. It wasn't the best rattle can paint job in the world, but the pro photos make them look very rough. To the naked eye, they look like this:
