If I didn't know better I would have thought I was the OP.
Over the last 2 years I have replaced every single outlet in my house.
But on top of that I've also found wire nuts in the walls and most of the outlet boxes are recessed in the sheetrock, so I've needed box extenders on a lot of them.

All the residential breakers I know of just push on to the buss, you know of any that screw on?

The only bolt-on breaker I know of for residential is the old Bulldog Pushmatic, which didn't produce stab-on connections, and is no longer produced.

All the major brands make bolt-on panels, but they're primarily used for commercial use, and they all offer the stab-on.

Backstabbing should be against code, but you're fighting cheap people there. Time is money and low bid wins a lot of the time.

None of the outlets or switches in this house are back stabbed. There were still several with no ground and a couple wired backwards along with some light runs using the bare copper for one of the switch legs. So apparently no level of bid insures against stupid
