You always need a backup for the backup to backup the other backup to backup the other back just incase the other backup to that backup failed.
Here's what I have so far, want to start adding comfort grips to the assortment.
1- Cornwell 1/2
1- Snap on 1/2 Long ratchet breakerbar
1- Craftsmans 1/2
1- Matco 3/8
1- Snap 3/8 Dual 80
1- Snap 3/8 Dual 80 Flex Head
1- Snap 3/8 Dual 80 Flex head bent handle
1- No name 1/4
1- Cm 1/4

Wright round head 1/4
Armstrong locking flex 3/8
Cman round head 1/2 for the pipe jobs...

I rarely use ratchets so one of each is enough for me. 3/8 sockets all around minus the tiny sizes you only see in 1/4 drive.

Think I have about 8. Only use three of them. Armstrong Maxx 3/8 locking flex head with Gearwrench 84 tooth rebuild kit in it, SK 1/4 standard head, and SK 1/2 standard head. Three greatest ratchets ever built in my opinion.

Wow, some of you all are collectors, I used to have exactly three, one of each drive size. Eventually I realized I wanted at least one backup in each size, so I got some newer Kobalts and Williams dual pawls for my "good" ones, a couple Snappy 1/4" drive ones as part of a package deal, and retired my old Craftsman ones. And I picked up two Blackhawks with the speeder ring because I really like that feature but didn't have a speeder ring ratchet. I think now I have eleven? and no need to really get any more unless one breaks. I think.

I think I'm somewhere between 10-15. I want to get some Dual 80s, but I NEED (seriously, not made up justification) a couple more 1/2". I've kind of been eyeing the long flex Kobalt job (can't afford SO right now).

The last time I counted, I had about 700 of them. I am probably closer to 800 by now.

For some reason, I just like them a lot.

However, they are not my primary collecting interest. I am most interested in Billings & Spencer items. I have a huge collection of their products and literature.

whats cool about collecting tools is when you change the plugs in your car and have a ratchet and socket setup for each sparkplug

I'll post some pictures over the next several days. Mostly, I keep my collection organized by manufacturer / brand. Does anyone have any favorites they would like to see? I prefer the older ones myself.
