Well done!
[...] I have about $225 into this 'free' blast cabinet.

OK I'll let the cat out of the box. New seat.
Didn't like the bounciness that the 1970's lots-of-sping and minimal-foam design.
Re-foaming and recovering is expensive, even if I do it all myself, and I still have a bouncy seat
Starting with 90's seat and re-foam, custom cover is close to what I spent on this brand new seat with 0 effort involved.
The new seat is for Ford pickups with bolts at 42". I robbed the seat to floor pan brackets from the old seat sliders. Good cleaning, turd polish and paint.
Fits fairly well. Sits lower than the original, easier to get under the big steering wheel.
Definitely more comfy.

Thanks Mike. I think the diamond stich is a good fit. Going to incorporate it into the door panels. That seat looks AWESOME Justin. Love the color and pattern in the truck.
That's what I said when I opened to box. There is no limit, but my goal is mostly complete.Wow! That new seat is ****. You can go ahead and send that ratty ole bouncy seat to my place, I need a garage couch.![]()
Good lord that's a good looking truck. Every time I think you're reaching the limit, you do something cooler.
Yes, I am able to use the existing seat belts.I also think the new seat looks awesome. Great choice.
Are you able to use seatbelt latches with it?
SnowdenJustin, I think that you linked the mfg of that seat somewhere but I didn't find it in a qwik search. Who made it?
Thanks BB&G!That interior shot is beautiful! Looks awesome man!
Thanks. They can make more...Thats a nice looking seat. I wish i had new seats for my Ford.
It does feel like Corinthian leather!Seat looks great!
Yes, but i probably don't want to pay for it...Thanks. They can make more...
Switch your intake and exhaust ports for better airflow. I made a sheetmetal baffle over the inside of the "exhaust port" that carries the intake air to the bottom of the cabinet (not into the hopper bottom). Put my extraction hose that goes to a $15 dust deputy over the port that HF wants you to use as the intake port. Works much better at keeping the air in the cabinet clearer. The Tacoma company upgrade parts includes pieces to do this as well.Poured in a bag of media, hooked up shop vac and tried it out. Seems to work OK. More airflow would be better. View stays clear, no dust escapes cabinet like before. I have about $225 into this 'free' blast cabinet.
Not sure I understand how this would make a difference. Both have essentially the same baffle, only difference is the hole size. I have a 2.5" vac hose so using the 2.5" port for exhaust.Switch your intake and exhaust ports for better airflow.

Justin, I bought the M12 right angle die grinder (tool only) for $152 and the straight one for $157 (+ tax). Tomorrow and Wednesday are super duper sale days at Amazon so they might have even better deals. NOTE: this is just information, no enabling involved.Went shopping for some tools that Dewalt does not make, but Milwaukee does in M12. Die grinder, angle die grinder, and band file. Each is $200-$250 so going to be cheap and continue with air for now.
The M12 right angle die grinder is probably my most used power tool. It has a 2” 40-grit flapper disc on it 90% of the time. Bought a second one; still in the box in case the first one dies…Cannot recommend it highly enough. I also have the straight version; use it primarily with a tapered round nose carbide burr.Justin, I bought the M12 right angle die grinder (tool only) for $152 and the straight one for $157 (+ tax). Bob, you are a well know enabler, which is OK, you should embrace it.Justin, I bought the M12 right angle die grinder (tool only) for $152 and the straight one for $157 (+ tax). Scott, now I feel pressured to buy not only one but two tools of each type. Back-up redundancy is a great plan. The M12 right angle die grinder is probably my most used power tool. (Which is probably why I spent this morning at the eye doctor getting a metal chip removed from my eye. )
Hmm. Well I guess if all three of you strongly recommend for me to buy all of the tools, then it must be OK. My wife is in Iceland riding horses so I have some leverage.... aside from the last 4 power tools I bought recently.Ride...., err... Work Red!
Justin, Liane had no trouble treating my wounds and accompanying me to the doctor for some gnarly treatments. The day my eye doctor took out the little medical Dremel tool to remove the rust (I waited a bit too long before seeking treatment) she not only left the room, she left the building because she could hear the whine of the tool from the waiting area. Forget safety glasses, hang a face shield next to every steel throwing machine you own. That is some painful **** getting rusty metal chunks scooped out of eyeball.
Now you've done it! I stopped looking a while back. I'm going to fondle my WEN and HF band files and weep.18x1/2 Band file bare tool.
Scott, around here it's not a good idea to display cult items like that. I put them in plastic tubes so they don't stand out as much.Welcome to the M12 cult.

@ntsqd, thanks for not mentioning any other tools. Last one on the left is the soldering iron and third from the left is the straight die grinder. The angle die grinder lives in a drawer for now because I haven't figured out how to slot the PVC holder for it.Unfortunately this means that I not only need to buy the M12 soldering iron but the M12 die grinder too.

Bob, Eye doc is no fun for sure. First doc told me 'Hold your eye still , moving target is harder...'Justin, Liane had no trouble treating my wounds and accompanying me to the doctor for some gnarly treatments.
