Impressive, haven't seen a structure built like that for 30 years now, and it was a large barn built by the Amish.

The joints are drawbored mortise and tenons it looks like. You have the tenon that slides into a mortise and a hole is bored through. The hole is offset towards the shoulder on the tenon side, so when a peg is pounded in, it pulls it tight.

I did the same thing on my workbench that I'm building now. No glue, no hardware, just mechanical strength.

That's not a split in the wood, just a marking line.

That is awesome. My barn is built the same way but it's 120yrs old, and not nearly as straight anymore...

Stunning build rbonitz.

The beam supports on that center beam are done at an angle because then they don't have to notch each rafter for the beam. It lands right next to the post and has a back brace, there's no shortage of strength and it won't sag that overhead beam any time in the next 50 years. Also, probably a bit more aesthetically pleasing.

I love it, and it must be awesome to be able to say most everything is from your property! I'm going to build a small 16x18 cabin for my back acres out of reclaimed wood from my barn next summer.

Congratulations on an absolutely beautiful building! More information on the wood floor, please.

Love the look of the wood floor with the stone half-walls but am curious how it was constructed ( e.g. is there a concrete floor underneath? )

 That is awesome! That kind of skill is getting hard to find.

No. That kind of skill is impossible to find. The Loreto Chapel staircase was built by one man with hand tools. They bring in engineering classes to try to figure out how it was done.
