I've picked up several things lately off their clearance rack. I should be near one tomorrow. They really give that stuff away when they start marking down.

Thanks for posting the deal. I'll grab one and keep it for a backup. Surely it's worth the 8 bucks.

Just picked one up. Thanks for the heads up. I just went by the local Advance Auto while I was in town. They have their cheap tool bin on clearance. These are not going to be high quality tools. They would be more the disposable/loaner type.

Link is dead.

The link will show dead if your local store does not have it in stock. But if you change your local store, it could appear if that store has it in stock. I just found another one in stock 5 minutes ago.

I retract my earlier comment. I found it by searching around at a differ store.... Purchased for $9 and change after taxes. Now to see if it is really available.

For that price, I don't think you can go wrong.

Just in time, thanks! I needed a new "occasional use" sawzall! I ordered one. We'll see if it's still there tomorrow (I wish I had time to get it today, but I have to work). I ordered it and paid for it, so it'd better be there :)

I hadn't yet chosen a store. Even doing so doesn't change it, unfortunately.

I had to try 4 different stores before the link worked. It's 20 miles away, but I have to head over there anyway, so it's no big deal.

I waited a couple of days until I had to go near one that had it in stock. The manager had to look for a while. The box is pretty dusty. Once he saw what it rang up for he ordered one in from another store.

Mine was really dusty aswell. Had clearance sticker for $51.99 on it that was hand written. I'll take my $9 and change after taxes.

I have not opened it, but box looked well aged.... :)

Well, I finally made it over to the store to pick up my saw. Thanks HomeDepotRob, what a deal! I also found a roll of Scotch-brand duct tape for $0.67!

Has any one tried out the Trades Pro Reciprocating Saw? How is the vibration? Does it cut smooth? Is it tool less blade change?

Thanks Mr. HDRob! I didn't need the saw but picked one up yesterday for my "Dirty Santa" (or whatever they call that thing) gift at the family's annual Christmas party. There is a $10 limit on the gifts so I am within the parameters. And I will not have to try to pick something up the day of the party this year because I forgot to buy something!

You don't have them in NY? They're all over NH... Used to be VIP Auto Parts, now Oreilly does the parts and VIP just does the tires and service

^ ^ Don't feed the troll. Winlinmac is "nowhere" but everywhere !! :D

Oddly enough there are no O'Reilly part stores in New York. However . . . IF . . . ShinLinWinVooGooMac has a car, "he" could drive to nearby states !! ;)

I believe I have the same saw "Tool Shop" branded. It actually cuts pretty smooth, vibration isn't bad. IIRC it is tool less blade change but not 100% sure. I think HF sells or sold the same unit. No complaints at $30 or so. Well worth $8.
