Has someone figured out a nice storage system to keep blades organized? I could use something, perhaps similar, for my jig saw blades, too.

I'm trying to organize my portable toolboxes. I have a bunch of reciprocating saw blades that are loose in the top tray. I'd like to containerize those blades to keep them together and easier to find.

I have 5, 9, and 12" blades.

The DWA4101/DW4892 blade sets come with a tough case that is expandable to hold longer blades. It looks good but only seems to come as a set. They are available on eBay but shipping to Canada is listed as $75 for 5 of them.

Freud has a very similar looking case, also.

The DW4890 is a nice looking case but it appears to be only for 5" blades.

I can't find the exact one on HD's site but I just bought a set of blades that came with a nice case.

I also have a pencil box I picked up from the dollar store that does a good job.

My dad put three strips of wood in the top of his tool box, offset enough to fit the blade, and out of alignment just enough to hold hack saw blades in place.

Kitchen utensil organizer. Mine are divided between recip saw/jig saw in two little rubbermaid kitchen organizer trays, but if you had tons of blades you could get the 5+ compartment utensil organizers and sort them by type/length.

Milwaukee also has an expandable case, similar to the DeWalt case. Better still, it's available for purchase as a separate item.
