I'm building a ham radio box with an aluminum frame to which I'll need to mount radio brackets. Any recommendations for an inexpensive nutsert kit (other than HF)?
I've got the Marson metric kit. Works awesome for the smaller sizes. My only complaint is the kit comes with an m8x1.25 steel insert, but i have actually broken the tool internally trying to set those. Grainger warrantied it since i bought it there, but i don't use anything larger than the 6mm anymore.
Picture the frame of a rectangular box made with 1" aluminum tubing. Imagine the box lying on its side, with one end will be covered with aluminum panel to which batteries & a power supply will be mounted, and the other end will be half-covered with an instrument panel and the other half will be where the radios are mounted.
