I'm building a ham radio box with an aluminum frame to which I'll need to mount radio brackets. Any recommendations for an inexpensive nutsert kit (other than HF)?

You can get a Marson for around 80.00. Do you need a link or use Google?
I have a Kenwood tube HAM and a few mobiles

Thanks, JASTECH

I've got the Marson metric kit. Works awesome for the smaller sizes. My only complaint is the kit comes with an m8x1.25 steel insert, but i have actually broken the tool internally trying to set those. Grainger warrantied it since i bought it there, but i don't use anything larger than the 6mm anymore.

have you considered using a pem nut? They are a lot less expensive and can be installed by hand.

Picture the frame of a rectangular box made with 1" aluminum tubing. Imagine the box lying on its side, with one end will be covered with aluminum panel to which batteries & a power supply will be mounted, and the other end will be half-covered with an instrument panel and the other half will be where the radios are mounted.
