Just like the title. I'm looking around at a few. What brand and model do you recommend? I want something durable and powerful.

I use a Matco mt1816 long barrel. Not sure the oe manufacturer but I've also had my hands on the Cornwell equivalent and use it almost on a daily (trailer panel repairs) and have never had any issues with it locking up and it hits like a tin of bricks without too much vibration or fatigue on your hands

The Long Barrell all black model from Chicago Pneumatic. might be a CP 715 part numberNot to be confused with that crappy Central Pneumatic brand ************* Harbor Freight sells.

I would also recommend Astro Pneumatic's big nasty as seen on You Tube's South Main Auto Repair Channel.

If you have money to burn, the Snap on PH4650 (i think) is a stout air hammer too.

I think you mean PH3050.

I really like my snap on one. It definitely trumps all the others. Never used a big nasty tho, but it definitely beats matco Cornwell mac ir etc

The CP7150 is a .401 shank gun, but matches most 5x rivet guns for power (5x guns are .498 shank). I have one and really like it.

We have the Snap On 3050 at work and it really gets the job done like no other. A tad on the pricey side, but buy it once and know that you are prepared for whatever is thrown your way.

+2. I love my Snap On PH3050. I normally am a big fan of IR air tools, and not so much SO, but this air hammer is one place that I think SO is money well spent.
