Recommendations for rechargeable compressor/jumpstarter

My battery-powered mini compressor/jumpstarter is on its last legs. It needs the battery replaced, but the compressor is barely working, so I think I might just junk it. It's a no-name POS that I bought in a pinch and I've never been thrilled with it.

My workplace has this one: http://www.lowes.com/pd_595192-41462-XP2260___?productId=50223897&pl=1&Ntt=jumpstarter . Seems to have good reviews. The inverter is a bonus as I probably wouldn't use it much, if at all.

Does anybody have any recommendations for new ones? Any experience with a certain brand/unit that you'd care to share?

Here's my take on that, borne out by experience. When a tool tries to perform many functions, it usually doesn't do any of them very well. This has definitely been my experience with the jump box/inflator/inverter/egg beater units. You can get each of these capabilities in a separate unit reasonably cheap.

The 660 is a solid pack for a consumer and then buy a separate small compressor viair, hadley, even husky, and HF make decent ones

JNC660 and go to pepboys and buy a masterflow heavy duty compressor. Both work well.

I like the idea of just leaving it in my trunk. This one also has a 19v output to directly power my laptop if necessary.

i have a sears platinum(?) model with 900 peak amps, compressor, inflator, 2 110 outlets powered by a 400 watt inverter, 2 12vdc power ports, usb port, and a light. its worked great for me, and is nice to have for the ocassional power outage. i know i can charge anything if i need to.. i keep it in the house.

i carry a smaller stanley model in my honda crosstour, and a seperate 12v compressor. the thought was that i didnt want just an "all in one" cause if thats dead, then NOTHING works. if i buy another to keep at home, it would be this CAT model from HD -

also - keep in mind that "peak amps" is basically marketing BS.. take that number and divide it in half, and thats the actual amperage. that CAT model is actually 1000 amps though.. it all depends what you need/want to be able to start.. if its a small 4 cylinder than a smaller pack will do. id consider one of those small lithium packs, but i believe you need to leave them on for up to 10 - 15 minutes before you can start a drained battery.

my Stanley model does have compressor too, but like i said i carry another small separate one as well. the jump pack, compressor, tire plug kit, first aid kit, jumper cables, m18 fuel 3/8 impact / flashlight, HF extendable 1/2" ratchet w/ impact lug nut set is ALWAYS in the storage space in the rear compartment with some basic hand tools and really small socket set.

Thanks for the recommendations. I've actually been looking at those Masterflow compressors. The compressor is actually what I used the most on the crappy jump pack I had. Looks like the reviews are pretty good no matter where you look, and there are a few in the lineup that look pretty beefy for what they are.
