I bought this at a flea market today and Google was of no help on the "6VS".

Anyone know what model this is? I assume 6VS but being unable to find anything like it I am curious.
It is a 6VS
It could be Irwin, it is a late English made one, these are basically a no6 with an anvil lump added on the back which you shouldn't use.
No6 jaw plates should be the same.

In the UK where I live its possible to get them from Irwin Record dealers at great cost, or on Ebay as there are people who make them. In the States I have no Idea.

Has anyone setup the non movable part of the vise in a Milling machine?
I was trying to do so today and discovered the flat part of the vise (left side in picture) that attaches to a swivel is not really flat.

I have already machined the movable side, but it had several flat locations that would keep it square.
