I seem to remember a web site where you could get all the goodies to turn a boring refrigerator into a cool looking Craftsman red one. I've searched and came up empty, anyone can point me to the web site it would be appreciated. I did find a site where you can get flame graphics for the garage. Here's that site; http://hotrodworks.net/decal/odd.html

Thanks!

You can buy 'appliance epoxy' in red. It'd be tricky to rattle-can a nice finish on such a large flat surface though.

I just stick decals on mine; Summit Racing always sends a bunch.

Or you could do a 'Type R' theme and just add red racing stripes (one narrow, one wide). Or better yet, a 'Herbie' theme with light gray base, two color off-center stripes and big number '53' (53?).

Home Depot has a fridge with a really nice dark gray 'graphite' finish now. Looks really nice, and won't show prints/dirt like stainless does. I'd love it in my kitchen but I already have a big stainless KitchenAid. t'd make a nice looking finish in the garage too.

Maybe get some of that 'hammered finish' spray paint?

The kits were called Too Cool kits. Northern Tool used to sell them. You could get the one that looked like a tool box or 2 different gas pumps. I searched a bit and it appears they are no longer making them.

Thanks guys, I did come across the toocoolkits.com link, and tried a bunch of other sites as well. Looks like I'll just do the appliance paint and stick a couple old Craftsman emblems on it like the one with the bug in the garage. I'll be back home this weekend and will start ordering goodies for the garage project first thing Monday. Thanks for the help!

Scott, I went with a quart of red Rust o Leum (sp) with a 3" medium nap roller.
It was enough to do the refrigerator a metal and a wooden cabinet.
Do the handles with a silver rattle can, add the aforementioned Summit stickers and your in.

Heres a kit to make your fridge look like a toolbox or gas pump.
