Yeah, the benches are a bit on the flimsy side, but the cost of can run to 3 or 4 hundred
pounds each for heavy duty ones.... and I needed three of them. So I bought these, bolted
them all together using many bolts, then bolted them to the wall. The work tops are 25mm
ply I bought as a single sheet and cut and sanded, then each one is screwed to the work
bench with 12 screws from underneath.
The top shelves are just standrd planks of timber mounted with wodden risers and then
fitted underneath with kitchen under cabinet strip lights. The end result is incredibly strong
and a joy to use. It has taken everything I have thrown at it in it's stride, and the addition
of the lighting has made dissasembly and reassembly of small componants really
comfortable to do.
