OP
Your viper looks like he was put in the corner for bad behaviour hahaha.
Haha it does!
Last spring when I finally had her out, she was getting a thorough wash in the driveway and one of my neighbors walking by said "hey you pulled it out of the rafters!" Took me a minute to figure out what he was talking about, but definitely well played. From that view on the driveway it looks way up in the air.
I did snag one of those towel racks from ikea. I just need it to warm up so I can figure out where to put it on the wall.
The snow on the ground tells me you're not really in Magaritaville

Looks great Stretch. I am planning on finishing the inside of mine this year and I was thinking of using a red stripe to match my outside. Thanks for showing how it would look! No Viper inside.. just a couple oldies.
Nice! I've unsuccessfully tried twice now to get another.
Margaritaville is any place two parrot heads congregate.

Another Viper nut!The Tail is fun, but a bit tight for a Viper since it is so wide. There are many other roads around there that are fun for your drive there and back. Definitely hit the Cherahola Skyway. That is my favorite road in that entire area. I will be back there in early June for my yearly trip.
I lived in Louisville and Shelbyville while I was in Kentucky. I made it over to Lexington some as well because my wife lived there for a while before we got married. We really enjoyed our time there.
And for the Viper question. I jumped into the gen 1 RT/10 first because that's what the budget supported at the time. I like the look of the GTS better, but wanted to be able to drive with the top down. The 95 was an awesome car. I loved that it was ridiculous and impractical. It was loud, hot, wide, low, and generally made no sense to own (don't forget no door handles!), but it was a blast to drive. I bought the car with high flow cats and a Borla exhaust already on it and it sounded great. The only downside was the difficulty with road trips. I had to decide windows or no windows and the top leaked in the rain, which you will inevitably find somewhere on a road trip. Having said all that, I put 32k miles on her in 7 years and I loved every minute of it.
When I was finally ready to upgrade, I went gen 3 instead of GTS because I wanted to keep that top down driving possibility. The gen 3 has some nice upgrades compared to the early cars, particularly the suspension setup, brakes, and seats. It feels much more nimble on curvy roads and easier to drive through them. I was always wrestling the gen 1 a bit through those same roads in Tennessee. I have kept he exhaust quiet so far because its easier to deal with on road trips, but I think that will change next year because I miss that rowdiness I had on the old one.
If I could have kept both I would have. The gen 3 is a great road tripping car and the gen 1 is a great local car to cruise around in. If you are already enjoying the gen 5 and are interested in the older ones I would highly recommend doing it. It will be less comfortable than your gen 5, but it will feel very raw and fun. The early cars are definitely street legal race cars and are fun to drive. I have a friend with a gen 2 RT/10 in Nashville if you wanted to see one up closer.
Looks great very nice viper as well
