Can you refill either the DeWalt or Milwaukee battery operated grease from a pail or drum of grease ? Yes, I know a pump is required to get it out of the container.
Yes. No pump needed. Stick the part that the grease tube goes into in the pail of grease, pull the handle back. It'll **** it in.Can you refill either the DeWalt or Milwaukee battery operated grease from a pail or drum of grease ? Yes, I know a pump is required to get it out of the container.
Just how we did it for years on the farm. Just like filling a syringe.Yes. No pump needed. Stick the part that the grease tube goes into in the pail of grease, pull the handle back. It'll **** it in.
I believe the answer is yes but why? Seems ultra messy to me. Using cartridges is bad enough this seems ten times as bad.
If you own several pieces of heavy equipment, you will know why !I believe the answer is yes but why? Seems ultra messy to me. Using cartridges is bad enough this seems ten times as bad.
I don't know anyone who still uses bulk grease, everyone uses cartridges.
I've always used tubes. If you own several pieces of heavy equipment, you will know why !
Unimog?I have a vehicle that uses special grease inside the swivel housings on the front axle. Grease is sold by Mercedes only in “old-school” bulk containers, not available in grease tubes.
Unimog?
I run regular grease "whatever is in the gun" on my 406.
As to not be wasteful, for one. Just don't be a slob and it'll be fine. It's not that big of a dealI believe the answer is yes but why? Seems ultra messy to me. Using cartridges is bad enough this seems ten times as bad.
But does it ACTUALLY matter? I have my doubtsG-Class.
MB is very grease and fluid specific.
They even have a website that is officially setup by Daimler showing hundreds of oil and grease specs and cross-references.
