Unless they have changed the warranty, it reads, "If any Craftsman hand tool ever fails to give complete satisfaction, simply return it to any Sears store and it will be replaced free of change".
Not sure how that means the OP is ""scamming" anyone.

You can't be serious. Every warranty has fine print, last I remember, Sears' warranty was never unconditional.
If trying to get shiny new replacements for rusted tools that were found in a customer's car under a warranty claim is not scamming, it really makes me wonder where your line is drawn for scamming. Not even the tool trucks will warranty tools for cosmetic issues or abuse/negelect for someone who just walks onto the truck. A good customer, maybe.
