Thanks, the long story is it is a 100 year old farmhouse and is a two unit rental property and I want the tenant upstairs to control the heat as her apt is colder than the main floor. Yes I can find a chase and run wires down somehow to the basement, but was looking for something like a sender and receiver that would plug into the outlets and transmit a signal much like an intercom system uses.
