remote temperature control

I would like to have the temp controlled from the upstairs instead of the main floor(long story).Has anyone heard of a remote system that I could use.

just move the t-stat up there.

but you really want to make zones and do it right.

connect a temperature transmitter to this guy and you will have way more control than a X10 system or remote thermostat.

Thanks, the long story is it is a 100 year old farmhouse and is a two unit rental property and I want the tenant upstairs to control the heat as her apt is colder than the main floor. Yes I can find a chase and run wires down somehow to the basement, but was looking for something like a sender and receiver that would plug into the outlets and transmit a signal much like an intercom system uses.
