I just purchased an older (mid 90's flip top front see 1st pic) snap on tool box and the original owner has lost the keys to it. The box is not locked, and the locks are still in place with the key code still on the front of the cylinder. Unfortunately, both the top and bottom cabinet take are separate key.
Is it possible to purchase replacement key(s) from snap on? Or will it be a locksmith only job?
If unable to purchase a replacement key, could I install a newer style lock like this one I found on ebay? (see pic)
The box looks like this one, this is not my box. It's just a picture I found online of the same style box.
PS: Anyone know the model/part number of this replacement key lock?
