Rimac Valve Spring Tester

I bought a vintage Rimac Valve Spring Tester that I think is a model 500 but not sure. It's had a rough life and in need of some TLC. I'm looking for anyone with information on where to buy replacement parts (if you can). Mainly, I need the bezel and a new plastic lens. The horizontal and verticle shafts are worn but I'm thinking they can be bushed. I will clean it up inside and out and have it powder coated and chromed. I will use it once in a while but I want it to be a conversation piece. Any help is really appreciated. Thanks.

I’m willing to complement you on having that. I’ve always built my engines with a Blue Point equivalent. It always surprised me that the old build books never addressed valve spring tension. To me, that is just as important as blueprinting.

Good news. I was able to contact Rimac and they have the bezel, lens, and a new face. Not cheap, about $100 but a good start.
Ricky Joe, yes valve spring pressures are critcal especially in a race engine which I build occasionally for my son. This is a great tool for this.

If you haven't already, get a calibration spring so you can check it before each use.

Just a quick update. I received the new lense, needle, and chrome ring that goes around the lense. I bought some stainless screws to replace the crusty old ones. I dissambled the unit completely, had it cleaned and bead blasted. Primed it today and am know looking for a paint that is close to the original. Once I have it back together I'll post some pictures of the finished project.

Also, calibration spring is on the way from Summit Racing.
