Managed to get a few hours out in the garage one day over this long weekend.
First, I installed this retractable cord reel. It's been on my list for a while, I just never got around to picking one up. I used of my lowes gift cards to pick up this Bayco reel. It seems well enough made, hopefully it lasts over time. It's definitely very convenient.
Next up, it was time for the compressor. When I finished up the garage, I ran a 220 line to the opposite corner of my garage from where I ended up wanting the compressor. I really wasn't in the mood to go up in the attic and dig my way through 12" of blown in insulation, so I ended up running a conduit line over. I already regret it, because it looks kind of crappy, but oh well. I'll paint it eventually and it will helpfully blend in a bit better.
I ordered the maxline kit for running the air around the garage, but didn't have time to start getting that up, so for now I just installed a regulator directly to the tank outlet so I can use it for the time being.
The thing is pretty damn loud though. There is a TON of noise coming from the intake, and the fact that it's next to the wall just amplifies it. I've seen people take a few measures to silence this, so I'll have to start looking into that.
