my68spit... I got on the list here
http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=213380&highlight=rocksolid Application went really smooth , The kits come in burst pouches, squeeze the bag till the inner seal bursts releasing the two parts to mix together, shake for 1 minute , cut the corner of the bag off and pour in bucket... open can of color and dump in bucket and stir for 1 minute w/a drill/mixing paddle . I poured it out across the end of the shop and rolled out a 5' x 24' area .once the stuff was smeared out I went back using random swirls . I overlapped each area a bit to try to get maximum thickness so it would flow out and not leave obvious roller marks ( This by far is the hardest part , not physically just mentally trying not to screw up) I had a friend help and it took 3 hrs 30 mins start to finish.
neuropac... It is what Rocksolid is calling "polycuramine" although I think that is a trade name for the polyurea formulation they use... supposed to be tough stuff...similar to truck bed liners .Cures fast... I'm using the floor the next day although I haven't pulled my hot rods in yet .No clear coat and I don't see the need for one...basically this seems to be a clear with suspended metallic flakes in it.
porschedude996TT ... yeah I could see this not being for everyone there is a lot to be said for a solid color floor especially in a light color , I do intend to work the hell out of this floor and although the shop looks large the floor is destined to get covered pretty soon as I have benches tools , a lift and several project cars coming into the shop. And yeah I remember the prism tape too... just never met anyone who put it on a car... must have been a Porche thing

workhurts... Thanks , I saw another company who sells a metallic epoxy floor ...it's laid out in two layers and the top layer gets some sort of chemical dripped on it to give it cool effects... I think Rocksolid may want to look into a similar approach ... but again I'm happy with the way mine came out but the manipulation of the roller may turn some people off...I never had much luck with "Faux finishes" in the past.
jwdominick ... I'd love to see a pic ...mines not perfect either , had some lint issues with the rollers and I think every bug in a 10 mile radius of my shop landed in it... It's like those prehistoric mosquitos in amber ... Archeologists in the future will be able to clone me and my neighbors from the DNA like in Jurassic Park.
