Recently I have returned from working overseas as a car mechanic, went to Sydney tools to buy a roll cab to start new job, would have purchased white international, sidchrome, sp, milwaukee but they came part of kits and wouldn't sell the roll cabs empty.
I bought a Daytona 2 bay roll cab (same boxes as what supercheap sell) and I've destroyed the rollers of the long top drawer within 4 weeks. I expected it to last maybe 6-12 months. It says it can handle 30kg and put less than 30kgs in it but the toolbox steal is too thin and causes the rollers to sag and roll on bad angles.
The problem in Australia is that there are low end toolboxes, Sidchrome, Kinchrome, milwaukee etc and then Snap On, no Mac or Matco to give a middle ground.
Does anyone have experience to know if the Sidchrome or SP are built better?
Are any matco toolboxes rebadged as an Australian brand?
I don't care where they are made, I just want to know which is the most robust out of what's available, there is Jimmy Tools in Adelaide but no idea on quality.
