I am working to complete my shop (30x40 pole building). I have successfully run some out outlets in the ceiling (not up yet so in the rafters).
I want to add some outlets to some shelving that was installed when we bought the property. The shelving was 4 feet deep across the back wall and half of one side. There were two shelves (one about 4 feet up and one about 8 feet). I took some of the bottom selves out to make some more floor space (I gain about 24 feet by four feet). I want to add some outlets to the posts of the shelves I took out. I plan to run romex in the wall to to the posts, but would like to protect the outlets and wire by using metal conduit and boxes.
Can I use the conduit to protect the romex? Would PVC be OK or should I use metal. I plan to run four outlets (two plugs each) on their own GFCI protected circuit (I will use a GFCI for the 1st outlet)
