so im nearing the "end" of my 24x36 garage build and once the wiring is complete it will be time to insulate and put up the interior walls. Im not installing a ceiling on the cross beams of the trusses as i want easy access to the space above for storage but i do what to insulate the roof to keep it warm in the winter and more importantly cool in the summer. Im using this product to keep adequate air flow from the sofet(?) to the ridge vent to keep it from cooking in the summer sun as recommended from my construction buddies and the old dude at Lowes.

The problem im seeing is that there are roofing nails poking through the sheathing everywhere and i cant get these to sit flush against the sheathing to allow stapling. so my question is, would it compromise the shingle nail if i ground down the nail flush with the bottom of the ply to let this product sit flush against the roof?
