Anybody else use this stuff ? It's a gloss latex paint. I bought a can to paint a stripe on the garage wall, breaking the white and gray. I tried painting a short section between the doors. I put on three coats, after the third coat, I pulled the masking tape off. It pulled every bit of the Rustoleum paint right off.
This was painted right on top the oil based Kilz primer. The Kilz states it can be top coated with oil or latex paint. I read the directions on the Rustoleum can, it says to sand glossy paint. The Kilz is not glossy but I tried sanding it anyways.
After sanding, I put three more coats on it, waiting 2 hours between coats. This is in the garage where the humidity is low and the temp is 70-75 degrees. ( I wanted the paint to cure easily). Again after the thir coat, I pulled the masking tape off. It has again started to peel the Rustoleum paint.
Now, I'm going to have to sand the Rustoleum off and reprime the wall with Kilz. If I don't sand it off, I'm afraid it will just peel completely off at a later date.
Anybody ?
