I saw this Ryobi table saw by the curb of my neighbors house so I asked him if I could have it to use the base for my old drill press. He said sure so I dragged it over to my driveway to pull the saw off and throw it out. Before doing that I wondered why it was broken since I didn't ask. So I plugged it in and it works. Problem is after about 10-15 seconds it shuts off. I plugged it in to the outlet right by the fuse panel and it still blows the 20 amp breaker.
Guess I know why he was throwing it out. I don't care, I just want the base it's on, but can this be fixed? The saw looks nice and the bearings are solid.
I don't know much about electric motors but it would be a shame if it can be fixed.
Thanks guys.
