Paper shim, new spring washer, squeezing forks of the ratchet in a vise. If it has a spring washer in it you might even be able to just bend it a little bit with some pliers to tighten it up rather than replacing it.

Also have you taken it apart to see what's in there to start with? Is there a little spring washer in one side or both sides?

Put it in a lathe with a soft jaw easy rest. center drill it. Then put in a spring and a poly rod. re-assemble the head with a new cross pin.
Have a look at a KTC flex. Something like that will work and is easy to do.
You won't see it on cheapo 'merkin imports like SK, Snap-On etc. Only quality tools :lol_hitti:lol::evil:

I guess ****** might work too. We 'merikans use it to keep other things from flopping at the wrong time.
