Monday I was surfing the net and came across a sale on amazon SAE & Metric S wrench sets by Gear Wrench $11 each and only $7 shipping for both. I ordered the sets I mean 4 wrenches for less than $30 is a good deal. They arrived today and I was putting them away I began to think, what is an S wrench used for. I have the half moon wrenches and they are great on starters but what are the S wrenches designed for? :headscrat

I think it's just another one of those obstruction wrenches; just another configuration for you to purchase a place in your box.

One use I can think of is for automotive door hinge bolts.

Intake / Exhaust Manifolds, Starters, etc... With todays tight fitting engine bay, there is not much that is unobstructed.

BTW, Northern tool had the same sets for the same price with free shipping.
Still a killer deal tho.
