Why are they so expensive? Just asking.

Probably because most are Swiss made. Try the Skill ones at wally world they are kinda cheap but Swiss and work quite well.

I have had good luck with the Morse brand from Menards. $48 something for the 50 pack. USA made also.
Lenox still makes blades in the us.
Both UK made...

I find it funny that Monte, a guy from germany, and has every tool known to mankind is referring people to Harbor freight.
I love you though Monte, you are awesome and contribute to this site in a huge way.
Anyway, there is no such thing as a cheap descent sawzall blade.

Buncha' fancy German blades and one USA made Irwin?
Yes, the carbide (and diamond) grit Lenox blades are made in the UK. The "normal" ones are US made.
The Morse and Lenox blades pictured from the UK are both grit blades. They likely came from the same factory over there. There are not many facilities in the world you can make blades like that.

Irony. . .

The most badass one I ever used was a Lenox bi-metal gold or something like that. It was a free promo I got in the mail. That one blade outlasted 6 Milwaukee blades. I cut and entire car IN HALF with that blade after I had already used it many many times prior. It cut like butta too. Unfortunately I have not found any place where I could buy them.![]()
IIRC, I've seen Swiss-made Vermont American and Black & Decker blades sold at my local liquidation store. There was plenty of US/Swiss-made assortment packages offered by Lenox and Dewalt as well.
