SDS Plus hammer bit

I do not have an air hammer nor a compressor large enough to run one. I do have a Bosch rotary hammer drill. Do they make a sds plus bit that is like a hammer/anvil bit of an air hammer? I understand it might be weaker/less effective than an actual air hammer but I think it could be helpful to have for limited use. Does this exist? I've looked and came up empty. Seems like a good idea to me.

I have some chisel bits. I'm thinking like a hammer head bit like some air hammer bits. Thinking I can break out the rotary hammer when doing some automotive work since I don't own an air hammer.

Not that I know of.

Closest would be either a ground rod driver bit, but that would have a hollow end (for the ground rod to fit into while you use the rotary hammer to drive the ground rod into the ground), or take a chisel-type bit and cut off the tip and then dress the shank to get a flat hammer-type head.

But all that and you'd still be trying to muscle an SDS rotary hammer into places.

Get an air hammer with the desired bits if you need to do air hammer tasks. IMNSHO

Astro 4901 with a hammer bit.

Unless you want/need to move up to BigNasty, the Astro 4980 .498 shank air hammer.

And yes, you'll need an air compressor to run the air tool(s).

You could try a 3 jaw chuck adapter for an sds plus if the air hammer bit will fit in it

For all the bits that get sold for sds plus drills I think the manufacturers missed an opportunity. I own 10-15 sds plus bits for my bosch drill that I honestly hardly put to use. I know I would buy an anvil type bit if available. Heck, I wouldn't use an anvil/hammer type bit that much either but I still want one. I think I'll look for a junk chisel bit at an estate sale and make my own.
