I have the Lisle brand set. It's made in the USA, works great, and was about $25.

It looks like the one Snap-on sells that says Taiwan on the Website.
Anything special about this set to be worth paying $747 for it?

Worst case scenario; put in on ebay japan and make hefty profit!By the way JayL; ever sell anything on the asian ebay sites?
Thank you guys. Your comments just made the deal sweeter for me. Initially the guy wanted $175. Then he called back and said $150. I did not take it and bec I was planning on a much cheaper Lisle or Astro kit. Yesterday he called and said I can get it for $100 if I come pick it up from his place. Drove 35 miles to collect it.
I might not need all the sizes yet but it's good to know that these will be there when a need arise.
35 miles???? That could take up to 8 or 9 hours for the round trip depending on where you go and the time of day.....
I have this set and it has worked fine for me. I still have had 2 use a socket or 2 since I got it for really small ones though.
Those are steel instead of aluminum. I wouldn't pay $747. I have a lathe and could turn my own.
The lisle set is great especially if you get the one with the blow molded storage case. Although overkill, I find myself using 3/4 drive sockets with a short extension sometimes.![]()
Which set Sunex Tools or KD set ?
BTW this thread is old.
