Their 41" box would be an awesome deal if I was looking for my first box. I got to wear out this homeowners box a bit more first.

Black Friday ad, less than impressive. Just about every tool in the ad has been at that price or lower this year. Nothing exciting about it. They should just do a going out of business black Friday ad

I'm trying to cherry pick any USA made tools. But can't seem to see any in the Black Friday ad.

Usually, you could find a few stray USA items in the Black Friday ad, like screwdrivers, pry bars, hammers, pliers, and such.

Are there ANY USA tools in the ad? If so, what item and on what page?

Thanks.

I'm doing the same thing, trying to pick up the one-off USA stuff while it lasts.

From what I'm seeing, all the BF discounts are on the big tool sets & holiday sets and not the individual tools.

Yeah, that could be a deal if you could combine some Points + Bonus Points with it but I would bet that would be excluded for BF...

That would be a good first tool chest for someone though at that price. Me personally if I'm going to get something bigger than what I have I might as well get a 52" with soft-close drawers...

Can you still get USA made Craftsman combination wrenches?

Yes, I've still seen some at the stores. But Sears is transitioning to a different looking Chinese model so if you want them I would suggest buy sooner rather than later.

Garage / Estate Sales are also a good place to look for old USA CMan stuff...

Thanks. I've got a USA made set that seems to go from 5/16" through 1-1/4". They are very nice and I would love to find a comparable metric set, but it may not happen. I'm sure I probably bought the SAE set from a deal posted in this forum, but it's been a few years ago now.

I was at a sale today where the guy had about 10, 9mm =VV= wrenches. $2 each.

Weird.

Around here you will see CL posts from time to time (and at garage sales) where former Danaher employees have bins and bins of old USA craftsman tools that I guess they let them take when they closed down the factories (there used to be one here in Springdale, AR).

Right now there is this CL ad locally that I'm kind of tempted to go check out. He said he has some stubby wrenches...

On the last page, the photo actually shows a 26" tool box with a regular full price of $34.99.

I bet that's going to be a headache for the tool associates.

BF seems to be a bust at a lot of places these days. Seems like retailers built up BF into a tradition with low prices (on SOME items) for a few years, then the deals went away but people still get into the tradition of shopping on that day. A bit of a bait and switch by the retailers, but that's their prerogative.

I like the newer Craftsman boxes, but my old Craftsman boxes are holding up well and my garage can't stand to lose the floor space that would be taken up by a bigger box so I guess I'll pass this year. I

Just wait until you see their "going out of business deals".

I saw the same thing at HD but branded under I don't know what name... Sure it was super cheap but I wouldn't even waste my money...
