I think post #1292 in the SlickDeals thread might help you.* Clicky:http://forums.slickdeals.net/showpost.php?p=9771112&postcount=1292
Sweet, thank you and thanks to the other guy who helped me.Personaly I have only found one out of five sears by me that I dont like. Everyone there just ***** and its not because they refused my coupons. They, as a whole, are just not pleasent to deal with. But the rest of the sears that I go to are top notch. I like sears and I have no problem spending my money there. I also believe that there tools are of good value. Do I think they as good as snap on, no, but they are the best tools for the money for me. As a company all these internet screw ups have made me spend more money on tools in the last few months than I ever have and because of the internet screw ups I have been in a sears store nearly every day for the last three months. to sears.

There is a rumor on the slickdeals site that there will be a 15% off promotion coming up. If true, that would only offer greater savings on single item purchases of $33.34+ though.

Well, I finally got up enough nerve to try the Athens, GA Sears store again. I walked around feeling for some reason guilty and like I had come back to try and rob these folks again. That is the feeling they gave me the first time I unsucessfully tried to use it. I picked up a set of socket magnets priced at like $10 and took it to the counter. As soon as I pulled the little red coupon out of my pocket the big haired sales lady said "I'm sorry sir we don't accept those and pointed to a note posted over the register. The note stated that if someone trys to use it to call the manager. I told her to call the manager. The same idiot as before comes out and rather politely explains that someone created the coupon and then obtained a website with "Sears.com" as the first part of the address and had used it and had given the link to some of his friends and that those friends gave it to their friends and now it is all over the world and is costing Sears millions of dollars. I as politley as politely as one can, tell him he is full of s***. I show him 9 pages of emails from Sears Customer Service where I had been given the runaround and that I was sick of getting the runaround from him. By this time there were at least 9-10 folks stopped and listening in. I tell him how Sears has just lost a customer of more than 40 years since receiving my first Craftsman tool box when I turned 16 and still had them and had since added two more large chests of Craftsman tool. I told him I would be even more upset if I felt that I was really forfeiting anything but that the Craftsman tools of today are **** compared to 40 years ago and proceeded to show him and the gathering crowd a Phillip head screw driver of which the star on the end was crooked and uneven. I then showed him a pair of vice grips where one side of the handle didn't come close to aligning with the other. I also assured him that we sure as hell would never buy the refrigerator my wife was planning on putting on our Sears card. When I got outside, I handed out the rest of the coupons to folks and told them they were good and that I had just used some of them. I will keep the old Craftsmans but I plan on starting a new collection of probably S&K's. I still need a set of 3/8 swivel sockets. Can anyone attest to the quality of S&K swivels?

dayum... wish I'd been there to hear that!

If it were me... I would not bother with the SK swivels but rather look at Proto or try to find a set of Snap On off ebay. I have some SK sockets and am not impressed with them....

Or maybe Wright:

I visited my Sears last week to pick up the $99 3/8" 250 inch-lb torque wrench; on sale for $79...Craftsman Club at $59.

At the register, I asked if they accepted the $5 coupon..."Oh sure!"
It scanned perfectly. The salesguy says says if I apply for a Sears Mastercard, I can save another $15, so I agree.

$43 out the door and I plan to cut up the new Sears card. It did come with a $10 off coupon for a $50 purchase...so maybe just one more visit before I cut the card up! :bounce:

Absolutely. I vote with dollars much the same as you. I get loyal to those who do me right and end up spending freely with them.

Similar to my local starbucks location. They have the nicest people working there. They have given us freebies several times when they make the wrong drink or even for no reason at all. I'll drive to them to buy my coffee as they feel like my "neighborhood shop" unlike a lot of other locations. (not to open up a can of worms about starbucks)

..$4-5 for cup of coffee drinker? Maybe they would accept the $5 sears coupon...

Once or twice a week now that they gave me a few bags of beans for free.
I can't afford to go there a lot but on sunday mornings we'll stop for breakfast.

I should try the coupon. I bet it will scan!

BTW. I went to a "Sears Great" location and used the same coupon I got harassed for and it scanned perfectly and I used one more. I'm still pissed off at the little jerkoff cashier kid who stood there shaking his head the whole time saying "none of them scan" with this little look on his face like his **** don't stink.

I won't open a new credit card unless it saves me $150 or more. The last three CCs I opened gave me either $100 or $150 in cash or gift cards.

If you're excited about $10 off $50 coupons, make sure you pick up a Craftsman Club calendar during your next visit.

Sears has the Hansen socket trays on sale now thru the 26th for $9.99 - use the $5 coupon and pay $5.00

I bought several yesterday and still need to pick up an SAE in 1/2.

Totalled all my sales stubs last night since finding out about this deal after Christmas. I have bought $1,012 worth of tools and spent $394 :shocking: I didn't think I had spent that much, but didn't think I had saved that much either :bounce:

Got to burn this deal up today and tomorrow

I'll hit it today and tomorrow but I'll probably only use three at each location. I should have kept track of the coupons I used to see how much I saved. I think I spent $30 total and used about 40 to 50 coupons to save $250.

I spent about $250 on hand tools and $200 on benchtop tools, not bad considering I would have bought most of the merchandise anyways.

This doesn't include the wobble adapter or 3 piece file set that I bought at Lowes.

I was going to hit them again today, but didn't get a chance to go down there. I plan to make one last stand tomorrow though, and depending on what's going on I may hit both stores and wear out my welcome at each :lol_hitti

As an employee I'm glad that these will be done with tommarrow. I'ts hard to make a decent paycheck getting paid commission on .01 cent sales.

I haven't decided yet on what I will do with the rest of my coupons.

C pro Torx screwdrivers are a maybe.

I want a set of AC/fuel disconnects, but don't like what Sears has that much.

Maybe look over lawn/garden for a quality hose nozzle.

I just got back from a Sears that I did not use many coupons at because they were only taking one coupon per day. I did something that I'm not very proud of. I won't say exactly what it was, but it involves ridding my self of a pile of carpenter's pencils, picture hanging kits and socket rails.

How much money do you make off a sale? Just curious...

How much did you get back Norton?

IF you read the fine print there "may" be adjustments on returns so it's up to the store. *wink*

Id rather not say, but it's about a third of what I've spent using the coupon. I have used over 100 coupons. Oh and some of the 'adjustment' were for more then what I 'paid' for the stuff. Socket rails cost me 2.99, returned at 4.29, go figure.

Did you return the accessories with receipts?
