As Sears continues to gradually disappear and my local store will be closing soon, I decided to figure out which companies actually made some of the Craftsman items I've acquired from Sears in the last few years. (I have a couple hundred Craftsman products, but I don't own anywhere near all of this stuff myself; I included other companies I found too, for other people who might want to refer to this in the future.) This manufacturer information hadn't all been gathered in one place before, and finding it all turned into a much larger project than I'd expected (this took several weeks to get together), despite only focusing on approximately the past 10 years. There is a different thread here listing manufacturer codes going back many decades, for the stamped/engraved hand tools.
I've tried to identify as many of the recent Sears Craftsman OEM vendor relationships as possible, most of which do not have that kind of handle codes. Information comes from discussions in the Sears deal thread, invoices submitted in the 2018-2019 Sears Holdings bankruptcy paperwork, a massive PDF apparently leaked from Sears HQ shared by henry29 here in early 2018, other threads on GJ and other sites, product reviews, blog posts, news articles, UPC data, etc.
The Sears product page links I've included for many of the items will retain some usefulness even if/when the Sears website shuts down at some point in the future, because the URLs contain a product identification number (SKU/model). The first three digits refers to the department ("009" is tools), the last part "000P" is filler, and the important part is the five digits in the middle (such as 12345).
