It comes in waves. First you get the base points (usually instantly), then the bonus points associated with those individual products, then any points from coupons (example: $10 back in points from Tool Purchases over $50), then you get your things like 3% back in points for SYWR members, then you get your points back for things like any offers for products you bought from the SYWR site itself (individual product pages - example: $5 back in points for purchases between $5-20, $10 back for $21-$40, etc.), , then any points back for any offers from the Craftsman site (if your a Craftsman Club member, and there was a product on sale with a point bonus) then any additional points from stacking things like the ROEBUCKS game (point multiplier for completing rows on a game board), then finally you get any points from things like if you used a Sears credit card to purchase, which is 10% back in points on your order. It usually takes a good 24-48 hours for everything to settle.
The account history that shows for your SYWR account is woefully deficient. But, if you take the time to work at it, you can really create some fantastic deals for yourself. My SYWR account says that I have redeemed $366,957 ($366.97) worth in points over 54 transactions (I've only been a member for 4 months, and started using points then). Most of my purchases are small and nearly free or outright free after redeeming points. And I've never bought anything that wasn't already on sale. Wait for something you want to go on sale, check the individual product pages at Craftsman, Sears, and SYWR sites, then slam the price into the ground by applying coupon over coupon (combine those $** dollar back in points coupons with % off and $ back after ** amount purchase coupons). I've used all my points about 5 times, and after a day or two, due to the coupons being applied and the point bonuses, there's a ton of points back into my account. I just spent all my points and a week later I was back up to $80 in points.
There are alot of hidden deals. The SYWR site just did a weird retroactive point bonus, where when certain products were bought, and the order total was over $20 and you had made any tool purchase between Nov 3 and Nov 12 (i think those were the dates), then you were credited $10 for every purchase. Sure enough, I had made 4 very small purchases (using points still counted, if the item was $40, but I used $39 in points, SYWR only cared about the $40 total when calculating for the point bonus, they view points as dollars). So there was $40 right back into my account 2 days after I had just spent the $130 worth in points that was just in it. If I hadn't loaded the items from the SYWR site instead of the Sears site (shopping cart), I wouldn't have gotten those points.
Take that even further by combining free shipping or in store pickup or $20 off tool purchases over $100 type coupons, and you get the idea.
